Surfing England are elated to showcase surfing from the UK’s top Groms. This will be the 2025 Rip Curl Grom Search, the ultimate search for the best and brightest surfing talent we have in the Country.
The contest will take place on Croyde Beach, North Devon, on the 7th – 8th June (with a backup of 14th– 15th June).
This event provides Elite Shortboard Under 16, Under 14 and Under 12 surfers a platform to compete for the 2025 Rip Curl Grom Search title.
This year also includes an exciting new addition: Priority Judging will be used for the first time in the English stop of the Rip Curl Grom Search Contest.
It will be a 2-day single peak competition with live scoring, and due to high demand, early registration is recommended.
DIVISIONS:
SHORTBOARD
- Under 12 Girls & Boys (Maximum 12 years old on 31st December 2025)
- Under 14 Girls & Boys (Maximum 14 years old on 31st December 2025)
- Under 16 Girls & Boys (Maximum 16 years old on 31st December 2025)

We anticipate high demand for this event and therefore cannot guarantee every surfer will have a place to compete.
