The Caravan and Motorhome Club are longstanding partners of Surfing England and are the headline sponsors for both 2023 Caravan and Motorhome Club English National Surfing Championships weekends, which are just around the corner!

Mens and Women’s Shortboard Open Titles at Fistral Beach, Newquay, 15th – 16th April = Entry is open.
Junior and Senior Shortboard and Bodyboard Titles at Watergate Bay, Newquay, 12th – 14th May = Entry opening Monday 3rd April at 5pm – info here.
Spectators are invited to watch both weekends of action, from the comfort of one of our brand-new deckchairs, as English Surfers battle it out to be crowned as the nation’s best. Both competitions will take place at the epicentre of English Surfing in Newquay, Cornwall. You can’t miss the event site – just look for the large feather flags featuring the Caravan and Motorhome Club and Surfing England logos!
For those looking to make a longer trip out of either national event, Cornwall has plenty to offer. Incredible beaches are dotted along the county’s coastline, as well as many of Surfing England’s Accredited Surf Schools, meaning they are inspected on an annual basis for quality service and equipment, the perfect locations to start and progress your surfing! Treamble Valley Club Campsite
Located a 15-minute drive from both Fistral Beach and Watergate Bay, Treamble Valley Club Campsite is the closest campsite to the National Championships. Perfectly located to access other surfing beaches, Perranporth, Holywell Bay and Crantock, all which have RNLI lifeguards on the beaches in the summer.
This campsite prides itself on welcoming people of all ages, and pets are also allowed. Its price point of just £13 a night for Caravan and Motorhome Club members makes this a must-visit spot whilst in the area.
St Agnes Beacon Club Campsite
A little further along the coast, this campsite offers many pitches with sea views overlooking the surrounding area and stretching along the coast until you can spot the village of St Ives. The campsite is yards away from the coast path and National Trust site of Wheal Coates, ideal for keen walkers.
Laundry machines are available, for those on a longer adventure. This campsite is also recommended as a quieter option, tucked away from visiting crowds in nearby larger towns.

Merrose Farm Club Campsite
Head down to Cornwall’s south coast for still waters (perfect for stand up paddleboarding), and luscious countryside. A bit further afield from the surfing action, Merrose Farm is perfectly situated to enjoy the Eden Project and explore many of the county’s quaint fishing villages.
This campsite hosts a range of activities for children including a playground and is an amazing location to access flat cycle routes in the area.
Looe Club Campsite
Closer to the Devon border, visitors have access to tennis courts, crazy golf and ball game areas. Views stretch across Looe Bay and Looe island, Looe Club Campsite is also situated nearby Plymouth, for city based activities.
