The top U12 and U14 surfers from England will come together at The Wave, Bristol, on Thursday 29th October for an ultimate battle of junior surfing talent.
A first for the UK, the 2026 Caravan and Motorhome Club English National Surfing Championships will see surfers crowned in Bristol’s iconic wave pool. The event will see the best young talent from the whole of England, including surfers with English heritage who are based abroad. All surfers competing have qualified for the contest; the standards are high and the battles will be tense.

A wave pool is a unique competition playground, with surfers being pitted against one another on the same surf settings. There is no room for error, and the judging will be as critical as the surfers’ manoeuvres.
As the contest progresses, so will the settings. Quarterfinals will run on Advanced Plus, with Semifinals elevating to Expert Turns and those who make finals surfing Expert Plus. Operating in this way will stretch our athletes and showcase the talent in England. The athletes will surf on lefts and rights, and scores will combine to establish rankings.
An exciting additional element will be the ‘King and Queen of the Barrels’. This will be a highlight of the day, with a showdown of barrel riding. Any U14 English surfer can enter this challenge, and we anticipate some unchartered talent to become known through this extra event.
Is the day open to all?
Throughout the day, there will be a warm welcome to up and coming surfers and spectators. The event is an opportunity for groms to be inspired, see the talent, and for the whole community to come together in an epic day of surfing action and celebration. There will also be contest breaks where the pool will open up to public for a surf.
Alongside the competition, on-site there is a playground, skate ramp, games, sauna, a café, and much more to provide a great day out in October half term. Surfing will start at approximately 10am and wrap up around 6pm – come and join us for a monumental day.
