IT’S ON! The 2025 English Interclub Surfing Championships at Porthtowan Beach, Cornwall
It’s time to wax up, rally your teammates, and get ready for one of the biggest surf showdowns of the year – the 2025 English Interclub Surfing Championships are officially ON!
We’re taking over Porthtowan Beach in Cornwall across Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th September for a weekend of fierce competition, serious talent, and proper surf club rivalry. The atmosphere will be electric, the stakes high, and the performances even higher.
Surf clubs from across the country will be sending their best Open, Women’s, and Junior shortboard teams to battle it out, wave after wave, for the coveted Interclubs title. Every heat will matter, every point will count – and with so much pride on the line, you can bet the level will be nothing short of world-class.
Will St Agnes Surf Lifesaving Club hold onto their crown for a second year running… or will a hungry challenger knock them off the top spot in 2025?
With 13 teams confirmed, the lineup is stacked. Expect nail-biting finishes, big manoeuvres, epic wipeouts, and plenty of beachside energy from the surf community.
So whether you’re competing, cheering from the sand, or just soaking up the vibes, get ready for a weekend that celebrates everything we love about English surfing – skill, passion, and a bit of healthy rivalry.

Over the weekend, the RNLI will be on hand to keep everyone safe in the water. As well as a double peak contest, meaning double the surfing action, spectators are invited to join the Surfers Against Sewage Beach clean on Saturday 6th September at 11am.
Blue Bar, on the beachfront of Porthtowan will be providing amazing discounts on food and more during the contest for our competitors.
Live scoring of the event can be accessed via LiveHeats (subject to 4G/WIFI – due to the location, paper and print outs may be used – the beach marshal and commentator will have everything you need!). The heat draw has now been published and can be viewed HERE ahead of the weekend. The heat draw and schedule is always subject to change.
