The wait is over! This weekend, May 17–18, Watergate Bay hosts the 2025 Caravan and Motorhome Club English National Surfing Championships.
Top surfers from across England will compete. It’s set to be a weekend full of action, fun, and talent. Everyone’s welcome – come down, enjoy the atmosphere, and watch the action live.
What’s in Store
The competition will see Under 18 and Men’s and Women’s Open Longboard divisions, alongside thrilling junior battles in the U14 and U12 shortboard divisions.
A pulse in the Atlantic is heading toward the Cornish coast and is expected to arrive this weekend, setting the stage for an action-packed few days of fun-sized waves and incredible performances.
With the swell peaking in the early morning, we will no longer be using ‘Priority’ Judging for this contest. Instead, we’ll be adapting to the conditions by switching to a double peak format, allowing us to run as many heats as possible during the prime conditions.
Competitors, be sure to bring your best shortboard/ Longboard and double-check your equipment! Need assistance? The Era Adventures team will be on-site for first aid and safety support.
