Due to small surf conditions and strong winds, we regret to announce that the 2024 korev lager English Interclub Surfing Championships has been cancelled. The event, already on its back up dates, was scheduled to take place this weekend at Porthtowan Beach, Cornwall. Location chosen by 2023 winners, St. Agnes Surf Lifesaving Club.
The decision to cancel the Interclub Championships was made after careful consideration by event organisers and officials. Despite meticulous planning and preparation, we feel the current wave forecast will not give enough sizeable surf throughout the weekend. Additionally, with winds forecast to gust up to 44mph at peak during the weekend, this makes it dangerous for the contest site. We would not be able to keep up our essential infrastructure. Due to the location, we are reliant upon use of gazebos.
We appreciate the understanding and patience of everyone involved. As event organisers, we are absolutely devastated to have 2 weekends planned and 2 bad forecasts. The Interclubs is one of the favourite events on the Surfing England calendar.

All surf clubs will receive refunds for the entry fees in full.
