This year has been a phenomenal year for Surfing England, and we are so stoked on how our Events Program has run. We have been overwhelmed by the support from our community which has resulted in such a successful year, with record numbers of competitors, engagement and those showing their true support with membership to Surfing England.
We are so amped for what’s to come as we see such a bright future for English Surfing – a huge thank you to all who are involved, and we welcome those who are interested in getting involved!
Now to what everyone is hyped for, Announcing our 2022 DATES:
2022 Caravan and Motorhome Club English National Surfing Championships: Friday 6th – Sunday 8th May: Watergate Bay, Cornwall.
The amazing Caravan and Motorhome Club commit to Headline our most prestige event for a consecutive year as we return to the iconic location of Watergate Bay. A full 3 days of double peak surfing will take place with divisions from U12s up to Kahunas (45+) in shortboard, and longboarding men and women, and U18s.
Prior to the event and entry opening, a format will be available which will detail T&Cs around entry in particular. This will be emailed to all members of Surfing England ahead of any updates on social media. The contest also runs on a Friday which is in term time – a letter will be available if you are a junior surfer requiring time off school for the event. Please make sure [email protected] is marked as ‘not spam’ to make sure you are receiving the member updates.

2022 English Adaptive Surfing Open: Thursday 7th July: The Wave, Bristol.
With a serious commitment to adaptive surfing, we return to The Wave for the third English Adaptive contest to be hosted here. The 2021 contest saw huge strides from the events debut in 2020 with a format that worked brilliantly for this location and the surfers. Our ambitions for 2022 are to see many more English Adaptive surfers competing, as well as welcoming our UK and International friends from this fantastic community.
As with our major contests, an event format with T&Cs will be released ahead of the contest and emailed to all members.

2022 korev lager English Interclub Surfing Championships: Saturday 24th – Sunday 25th September: Fistral Beach, Cornwall.
The korev lager Interclubs returned in 2021, after a few years of not running. The energy and excitement for this event from the surf clubs blew us away & we set up on Perranporth Beach for a fantastic 2 days of Autumnal sunshine and small surf. The event also had a great social element as many surfers saw friends and rivals from across the community they had not seen for years. This event is all about our incredible English Surfing community.
For 2022, the contests hops a little North to Fistral Beach, as Newquay Boardriders claimed the top spot this year and the rights to host the event in 2022. We are excited to work with NBR and build on all that was achieved and take it to another level.

Event Formats which form the T&Cs of our contests will be released ahead of each event. These may detail information such as entry opening dates and times, policies around priority entrants/first come, first serve (as our events grow in popularity), and information around the contest formats (how the competition runs, e.g. progressions to finals/points accumulations).
If there are coronavirus measures in place at the times of our events, we hold the right to reschedule/cancel if required, although we will do all we can to ensure they run as we have done throughout 2020 and 2021.
