Surf Clubs of England, it’s time to gather your teams. You are invited to the 2019 Korev English Interclub Surfing Championships supported by the Caravan & Motorhome Club. This year the event will be held on the 21st & 22nd September at Croyde, co-hosted by Croyde Surf Club.
Entry is now open for Surf Clubs to come together in friendly rivalry with teams in Open, Women & Junior Divisions. This will be a chance for English Clubs to gather for a fun weekend of surfing & socialising, as rivalries & friendships spark & we celebrate our thriving surf club community.
For those unfamiliar with the event, affiliated Surf Clubs in England put forward teams to represent their home breaks with an overall English Interclub Champion title up for grabs. This is awarded through a points-based system (not traditional knock out). The event focuses on fun for all & is inclusive of families & surfers at all levels. The weekend is a chance to celebrate the thriving English Surf Club communities & we are stoked to see you all! The event is live on Facebook here.
We’ll be celebrating Korev’s longstanding support to Surfing England with the much acclaimed Korev Beach Flags. These will earn the winning Surf Club’s some much sought after extra points & more importantly the bragging rights as winners of the Beach Flags!
At the end of Saturday’s competition, we will be heading to Freshwell Camping for evening entertainment hosted by Croyde Surf Club (who are also celebrating their 40th Anniversary!). Additionally, we will be announcing the Surfing England Club of the Year for 2019. Entry into the evening event is free for competitors.
