New ISA/SE course presenters announced

Surfing England and the International Surfing Association are proud to announce the individuals who will be joining ISA/SE Surf Coach presenting team.

Following a detailed process Surfing England, the National Governing Body for Surfing in England, have appointed new Level 1 ISA/SE course presenters as part of their commitment to harness the depth of talent in its surfing and coaching community.

Zoee Jones of Saltburn in the North East joins the team after over 12 years operating a successful surf school in Saltburn and delivering her passion for surf coaching.

George Stoy of Polzeath in Cornwall joins the team after over 23 years and 15,000 hours of coaching experience in surf and alpine sports and daily joy of coaching at his successful surf school.

Rob Barber of Newquay in Cornwall is appointed as our new Bodyboard course presenter following an extensive history of coaching stretching over 20 years and all around the globe.

Chris Rea of Hayle in Cornwall joins the team after 24 years of surf school ownership and 18 years delivering training throughout UK and Europe.

Andy Des’a of Scarborough in the North East joins the team after years of experience in surf coaching and international sport competition experience.

This step forward is part of Surfing England’s strategy of ‘A healthy surfing community’ to ensure that England has a flourishing surf coach pathway, lead by a brilliant and experienced team. The ISA coach pathway is globally recognised and promoted by Surfing England for the development and betterment of the sport in England.

These appointments are made in complimentary addition to the experienced and long-standing course presenters of Andy Joyce in Bournemouth, Stuart Parry in Polzeath, Pat Renaud in Bantham, John Ellis in Croyde and Baz Hall in Newquay.

The additional presenters will now undergo a process of induction and training, followed by mentoring and development as they prepare to join the team. The ISA/SE course presenters are part of a team that will drive Surfing and the services and opportunities that exist within it forward in England. Surfing England look forward to working with them to deliver our vision and future.
