The Royal Air Force Waveriders Association (RAFWRA) is the central body for the control of competitive surfing in the RAF. RAFWRA was approved in 1994 by the RAF Sports Federation as 1 of the 49 recognised RAF Sports Associations. Sport, adventure and physical activity is a crucial component in developing RAF personnel into a world-leading fighting force. The RAF Waveriders offers Beginners Courses, Training Weeks, Overseas Tours and competes each year against it's sister surf clubs; Army Surfing and the RN/RM Boardriders.
