The wait is over! Saturday 5th September, Watergate Bay hosts the 2026 dryrobe Longboard and SUP Championships supported by Caravan and Motorhome club.
Top surfers from across England will compete. It’s set to be a weekend full of action, fun, and talent. Everyone’s welcome – come down, enjoy the atmosphere, and watch the action live.
What’s in Store
The competition will see Under 18, Open and Women’s Longboard divisions, alongside thrilling battles in the Open and Women’s SUP divisions.
We have a great swell heading into Cornwall this week, so expect lots of action and comradery from our seasoned competitors. Don’t miss out!
Competitors, be sure to bring your best Longboard and SUP for the conditions, and double-check your equipment! Need assistance? The Era Adventures team will be on-site for first aid and safety support.

Stay close to the action
For spectators and travelling surfers, being steps from the sea is all part of the experience. Our headline event sponsor Caravan and Motorhome Club offer a choice of coastal Club campsites near the event – perfect for visitors when it comes to waking up just minutes from the surf. Facilities at these sites include hot showers, spacious pitches for all types of leisure vehicles, plus practical wash-down areas for sandy kit.
Visitors can stay at:
- Carnon Downs UK Club Campsite – open year-round and provides an award-winning base for caravans and motorhomes.
- Nearby, Treamble Valley UK Club Campsite offers a peaceful woodland setting, just a short drive from the surf.
- Along the rugged north coast, Trewethett Farm UK Club Campsite offers dramatic cliff-top views for those touring.
- St Agnes Beacon UK Club Campsite and Godrevy Park UK Club Campsite are ideally located for catching the championship action.
For many surfers a vehicle with roof tent, campervan or motorhome provides the ultimate surf base – giving them the freedom to follow the forecast, chase the best waves and unwind by the ocean after a day in the surf.
