The 2026 English Para Surfing Open is ON!
Featuring seven ISA-classified divisions and four Open divisions, athletes from across the globe will descend on Fistral Beach, Newquay this Saturday 11th July for our epic English Para Surfing Open. Competitors from countries including the UK, Portugal, France and as far afield as Saudi Arabia will go head-to-head in what promises to be a spectacular showcase of surfing!
And the forecast couldn’t be better. Saturday is currently looking stunning, with light to no wind and a clean 2ft swell, set to provide perfect competition conditions. We’re expecting huge performances across all classified divisions, with some of the world’s best para surfers ready to put on a show. And our Open divisions showcasing some of the best budding talent in the UK.

We’d love to see spectators lining the beach, soaking up the atmosphere and experiencing the energy first hand. Para/Adaptive surfing is one of the most exciting disciplines in the sport, and the level of performance on display at Fistral this weekend will be nothing short of world class.
The action will get underway this Saturday 11th July, so keep an eye on our social media channels for the latest updates and heat schedules.

Stay close to the action
For spectators and travelling surfers, being steps from the sea is all part of the experience. Our headline event sponsor Caravan and Motorhome Club offer a choice of coastal Club campsites near the event – perfect for visitors when it comes to waking up just minutes from the surf. Facilities at these sites include hot showers, spacious pitches for all types of leisure vehicles, plus practical wash-down areas for sandy kit.
Visitors can stay at:
- Carnon Downs UK Club Campsite – open year-round and provides an award-winning base for caravans and motorhomes.
- Nearby, Treamble Valley UK Club Campsite offers a peaceful woodland setting, just a short drive from the surf.
- Along the rugged north coast, Trewethett Farm UK Club Campsite offers dramatic cliff-top views for those touring.
- St Agnes Beacon UK Club Campsite and Godrevy Park UK Club Campsite are ideally located for catching the championship action.
For many surfers a vehicle with roof tent, campervan or motorhome provides the ultimate surf base – giving them the freedom to follow the forecast, chase the best waves and unwind by the ocean after a day in the surf.
