As we head into an exciting competition year, we are delighted to announce that the nomination period for Wildcards to the dryrobe Team England Juniors has now opened.
Wildcards are designed for exceptional surfers who have not previously been part of the Junior Squad and who did not compete in events run by Surfing England in 2025 (English Nationals, Rip Curl GromSearch, Junior Surf Series). Any surfer who competed in these events will already be under consideration for the Junior Squad.
To qualify for a wildcard Surfers must meet the following criteria:
- Eligible to represent England (through birth, ancestry, or residency)
- Aged 18 or under on 31st December 2026 (ISA Qualification date)
- Be an exceptional surfer ready to compete on a national and international stage.

A selection panel will be held once the application window has closed to determine whether any wildcards will be awarded. This will run in parallel with the selection of the Junior Squad for 2026 and all selections will be made based on the Junior Squad Selection Policy.
Closing date for entries for Wildcards is Midnight, Monday 9th February 2026.
