2025 English National Surfing Championships Postponed Due to Wave Conditions
The 2025 Caravan and Motorhome Club English National Surfing Championships at Fistral Beach has been officially postponed due to unfavourable wave conditions.
After carefully assessing the forecast, event organizers have determined that the predicted 1-foot surf won’t provide the high-quality waves needed for a fair and competitive contest. Originally set for April 5th–7th, the championship will now take place on the backup dates: May 3rd–5th.
While this decision wasn’t made lightly, postponing ensures that the event can run in conditions worthy of a national championship. We’re hopeful that May will bring better waves, setting the stage for an epic three days of competition at Fistral Beach, Newquay.
We look forward to welcoming our Under 18, Under 16, and Open Shortboard competitors, along with all spectators, very soon! Stay tuned for updates and get ready for an incredible event.

All surfers who have confirmed places to compete will have these places automatically reallocated to the backup dates of 3rd – 5th May.
The call for the backup date being called ON/ POSTPONED will be made by Midday Thursday 1st May at the latest.
Information will be available on our event website and social media channels. For live contest updates, add Events Manager Lauren to your contacts at 07486 327415 and send a WhatsApp message with your name to join the broadcast list. Once the heat draws and competitor schedules are finalised, they’ll be shared via the broadcast list.
