The Korev Winter of Waves online surf contest has come to an exhilarating close, showcasing an inspiring level of talent, determination, and passion for cold-water surfing. From start to finish, the competition was fierce, with every single entry setting the bar sky-high. With such high standard of entries, this was always going to be a very close contest for all involved.
The competition saw some of England’s best surfers take on the cold, wild waves. After thousands of public votes, we’re thrilled to announce the Korev Winter of Waves top 3 men’s and women’s champions.
Celebrating the Winners
In third place, we have Women’s surfer Eva Moorcroft Holland (@eva.surf) taking on a lovely performance wave at Porthtowan in Cornwall captured by filmer @surfsolutions. Men’s surfer Beau Betteridge (@beaubetteridge) surfed a long barrelling wave in the North of England, captured by filmer @meanwhile_surf.
In second place, Women’s surfer Lucy Campbell (@lucycsurf) rode a deep Cornish barrel over a precarious reef, captured by filmer @madhaus_media. Men’s surfer Sandy Kerr (@sandykerr_ ) took on a wild and rough Northern wave, captured by filmer @cornishdronephotography.
Finally, our 1st place champions are Women’s longboard surfer Beth Leighfield (@beth_leighfield), showing some technical board riding skills, captured by filmer @bellarosebunce. Men’s surfer Malakai Hagley (@malakai_hagley) took on a beautiful backhand barrel in Cornwall, filmed by @freeliac. Each winner takes home an impressive £1000 cash prize along with premium Korev merchandise.

“Thanks so much guys! Putting this money straight towards the cost of competing on the longboard Qualifying Series this year.”
Winner of the Men’s division Malakai stated:
“I pretty much spend all money I earn and win on my surfing: So on comps, petrol, training, entry fees, travel costs, coaching etc. This (prize money) will massively help me towards this for my year.”
