TEAM ENGLAND FINISHES 5TH AT EUROSUP 2023, WITH MEDALS IN THE RELAY, SPRINTS & DISTANCE
This October saw the return of EuroSUP in Peniche, Portugal! It was a historic European Championships with 193 athletes from 13 nations taking part in 90 heats/races over 8 days. We are stoked with Team England’s high-quality performance across the five competition disciplines: SUP Surf, SUP Sprint, SUP Long Distance, SUP Technical, and the final team relay.
Team England was represented by a strong team of 10 athletes who travelled over to Portugal to take part. The team faced strong competition from other European nations, especially Spain, France and Italy, who dominated the podium in most categories. Team England SUP showed resilience and determination throughout the event, surfing and racing in some challenging and sizable surf conditions. We are proud of our team who achieving some remarkable results and earned an impressive fifth place overall in the team ranking. The highest result for Team England in Eurosup so far!
A huge congratulations to the athletes reaching a final and gaining medals who were: Will Keetley 4th in Mens Sup Sprints, Hector Jessell 4th in U18 Boys Sup Distance and our Relay Team who took 4th place!
