We are stoked to invite the nation’s best shortboarders and bodyboarders to Watergate Bay this weekend and call the 2023 Caravan and Motorhome Club National Surfing Championships ON.
The forecast has steadily been cleaning up throughout this week to provide us with, waist to head high surf across the weekend, and certainly some sun! With 140 surfers entered across 14 different divisions, we have over 24 hours of competition heats to run through. The event will begin early Saturday and continue into Sunday afternoon, at which point, the top surfers of the event will be crowned national titles.
Over the weekend, trained beach lifeguards from ERA safety cover will be on hand to keep everyone safe in the water. Contest areas will be marked with different flags, and spectators are welcome to the beach to watch the surfing unfold as surfers battle to claim 2023 champion titles.

Live scoring of the event can be accessed via LiveHeats. The heat draw has now been published and can be viewed here ahead of the weekend. The heat draw is always subject to change.
The competition is following ISA’s heat formats. If you are in a heat of two people, this heat will be by-passed, and you will automatically go through to round two.
Competitor information will be released Thursday, and check in time for Saturday confirmed in the coming days.
