We are so stoked that we have a favourable forecast for this weekend’s Rip Curl Grom Search UK, and are calling the event ON, this weekend, 12th – 13th June. We are amped to have a full two days surfing, with 81 competitors competing across 6 divisions, showing the breadth of fresh talent in the UK right now!
Due to extensive road closures around Watergate Bay (G7 summit), on postponement we took the decision to relocate to Fistral Beach and are excited to return to this iconic beach and see the Groms showcase their skills. The contest will run on the North side of Fistral, near the RNLI station.
Trained Beach Lifeguards from ERA Adventures will be on hand to keep everyone safe in the water, and we run adjacent to the home of Fistral Beach Surf School, one of our Accredited centres. On Saturday, we will also have 2 Minute Beach Clean attending (click here for details on our activation!).
Live Scores via Live Heats – We will be aiming to run live heats at full capacity with live scores and progressions and managing the schedule. The running order (schedule) is always subject to change dependent on conditions.

Please also note there may be traffic delays in the area due to the G7 summit – please allow plenty of time for travelling to Fistral Beach. Heats will start promptly each morning and it is your responsibility to be at the beach on time.
