2020 British Surfing Championships Postponed
2020 BRITISH SURFING CHAMPIONSHIPS & BRITISH CUP UPDATE
On behalf of the CISF, Surfing England, SSF and WSF (the four home nation surfing governing bodies).
The rapid escalation of the COVID-19 virus has left the world on the back foot and as we are seeing we are still very much in a dynamic response.
The host nation, SSF have been planning the event over the last 6 months and over the course of the last week there has been a number of discussions with the different stakeholders involved with the British Championship due to take place in Thurso, Scotland in April.
Based on the current situation we have taken the decision to postpone the British Championships until further notice.
If you have any questions please channel these to your home nations. For Surfing England: [email protected]
British Surfing are in discussions with the International Surfing Association (ISA) regarding the World Surfing Games (El Salvador) and the British Olympic Association (BOA) regarding the Olympics; more information will be shared as it becomes available.
Once again thank you for your continued support and hope you and your families are safe throughout this challenging time that will test us all.
