DIRECTOR OF COMMERCIAL AND OPERATIONS
Surfing England is searching the waves (and land!) for a Director of Commercial and Operations to grow and develop the National Governing Body (NGB) for surfing and its disciplines and take it to the next level.
Surfing is a sport that impacts on almost half a million people annually – it is an Olympic sport, a healthy and natural physical activity for people of all ages and a passionate and welcoming community. Surfing England’s purpose is to develop a Healthy Surfing Community and our culture, as a dynamic and connected family, has enabled us to support a small but brilliant team and a wide network of willing volunteers across the country. Whilst raising awareness of the huge potential of surfing within government and partners such as Sport England is key to growth, building our commercial model is critical to our sustainability and an organisational priority.
This role will be the executlve lead of Surfing England. Its purpose is to structure and deliver a successful commercial strategy for Surfing England which will maximise and grow revenue, drive recruitment of sponsors, partners and secure public funding. It will also lead the operational team to deliver effective and efficient daily operations of SE to support the development of a Healthy Surfing Community.
You will be a highly self-motivated and driven individual with a proven ability to exceed commercial income targets and with significant, demonstrable experience of commercial sales and fundraising, ideally within major brands relating to sport or National Governing Bodies.
