The 2013 POSCA British National Surf Championships
The most prestigious and sort after title of them all is up for grabs again as The 2013 POSCA British National Surf Championships returns to Fistral Beach, Newquay from Novemeber 1st-3rd in a celebration of Surfing! 3 days of electrifying and fierce competitive surfing mixed in with a selection of activities and a healthy dose of social events will take place, at the end of which the 2013 British Champions will be crowned.
To adapt to the growth of Surfing in the UK and the success of last years event, the decision was made by organisers at Surfing GB and The UK Pro Surf Tour to extend the competition to 3 days. Thanks to POSCA Pens continued and passionate support of Surfing in the UK the event will again see a professional approach to its operation, whilst the creative aspects of POSCA will be unleashed upon all attending. Calyspo Soft Drinks, Offsure Insurance, Adams Surfboards, Snugg Wetsuits, BeachBum and 110% Surfing Techniques are also providing vital support for the operation of the event.

The event again holds special significance for UK surfers as its the final and deciding stop of the 2013 UK Pro Surf Tour. Meaning that tour champions will be decided and 2 Star UK Pro Tour points will be up for grabs for the Open and Women’s competitors, with the men looking at a £1000 first place prize purse. The UK’s top surfers will all be on show including last years champions Alan Stokes and Keisha Eyre, with strong competition from renowned chargers Russell Winter, Tom Butler, Luis Eyre, Oli Adams and Jayce Robinson whilst Hannah Harding, Peony Knight and an array of elite female surfers will challenge for the title. Vital points will also be sought after by the juniors as they battle for their ranking points to earn selection for The GB Junior Squad.

Sunday night sees the annual UK Pro Surf Tour awards kick off in fine fashion at the Carnmarth Hotel, Fistral. Awards from throughout the UK’s surf industry will be given out and its certainly a night worth attending. Tickets can be purchased direct from The UK Pro Surf Tour.
