Team England Para (Adaptive)

TEAM ENGLAND PARA (ADAPTIVE)

Team England Para (Adaptive) are the elite surfers in this discipline. Para or also known as adaptive surfing is the form of surfing for people with a disability.

Our squad are ambitious and talented, training hard to win medals at the ISA World Para Surfing Championships, which is the focus event of the squad. For 2026, we have a smaller squad, with a clearer focus and tracking on performance.

The team are supported by a brilliant network of knowledgeable coaches, specialists in fields such as psychology, all headed up by Phil Williams, Team Manager and Andy Banks, Head Coach. All the support staff are volunteers and we are hugely grateful for their commitment to Para Surfing.

The ISA are the World Governing body for surfing, and currently have 9 divisions for Para Surfing.

At Surfing England, we also run an annual English Para Surfing Open, a competition which brings together para surfers from all over the World to compete.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for the team.
