Surfing England is proud to be a partner of the SURFING EUROPE project alongside surf tourism providers from Spain, Portugal, Ireland and France in a project funded by the European Commission.

One of the best Surfing Routes in the world

From Ireland to Portugal through the United Kingdom, France, Basque Country and Spain, the European Atlantic Coast has an impressive offer of surf beaches. Some of them are considered to be among the best from all over the world.

Bundoran, South West England, Wales and Channel Islands, Brittany, San Sebastián, Ribamontan al Mar and Viana do Castelo are the must-stop locations on this route. All these surf destinations have exceptional quality for surfing, having waves nearly 365 days of the year. Leisure activities, nature, incredible gastronomy, good people and beautiful places will be also travel companions.

The main objective of this project is to define and promote a sustainable transnational surf tourism product called SURFINGEUROPE, providing a wide visibility of the product and its market uptake. The project expects to increase the employment in the tourism sector. Moreover, the tourism flows are expected to grow in each target destination.

The project provides a free of charge marketing and promotional opportunities for English Surfing Federation accredited surf schools and surfing friendly accommodation and food and beverage providers.
