Surfing England Events

Surfing England organises and runs its annual English Surfing National Championships as one of the UK’s highest profile events. We also provide an event service and support a selection of events from elite to grass roots level.

Our aim with events, whether we run or support them, is to ensure surfers with an interest in competing are provided with a structured and fair opportunity to do so. We pride ourselves on the professional approach we take and ensure fair play and enjoyment by using a high standard of event staff, qualified judges and event infrastructure. We recognise the need for a platform for elite performers to compete on; but we also encourage grass roots surfing events that reward teams, and encourage those who want to compete for fun.

We aim to cater for surfers of all ages, body types, abilities, disciplines and genders. Our events operate annually and we are working to develop a clear pathway for progression from junior to senior competitive surfing.
