We are so amped for stop 2 of the 2024 Caravan and Motorhome Club English National Surfing Championships. However, the surf forecasts have been providing their challenges, with the first dates going flat. We are now upon our back up weekend, with another marginal forecast. There is a real possibility of a pulse on Saturday that should provide contestable conditions.
Contest Director and Event Manager’s have been discussing extensively, as we absolutely want to offer our surfers the opportunity to battle for National Champion titles.
The forecast currently indicates Saturday should provide one day of contestable conditions. Due to the volume of surfers entered into the contest, we cannot run the entire event in 1 day.
For all shortboard U12s and U14s, and all SUP divisions, please be on standby for another update by Thursday 16th May no later than 12pm. We are hopeful to run all these divisions on Saturday but want to ensure the forecast is still holding tomorrow.

We are disappointed but must make the call to cancel and refund all other divisions – bodyboard, longboard, and the senior, masters, and kahunas shortboard divisions. Your refund will be actioned today – please allow 7-10 days for this to show in your bank account.
Organisers will look at the possibility of another date in the Autumn – however, we cannot guarantee this will be viable. If we can create another opportunity for National titles, we will ensure we email all surfers who have missed out on the May opportunity directly. Please bear with us as we have the Grom Search and Para competitions upcoming shortly.
