2012 National Interclub Surf Championships
On the 1st weekend of November the UK’s surf club communities will don their home colours and descend upon Croyde Bay for the 2012 British Interclub Surfing Championships.
This highly anticipated event sees surf clubs from around the UK put forward the local power houses and super frothers from their much loved surf breaks in a battle against others. Clubs can enter as many teams as they like in the Open, Women’s & Junior divisions where the year to comes bragging rights & the title of British Interclub Surfing Champions will be decided upon.
Last year saw Woolacombe Board riders take the title on home turf & surf in a highly competitive and closely fought contest which has left the defeated clubs with a point to prove in this year’s contest.
“The event is a great opportunity for the UK’s surf community to get together and enjoy a brilliant weekend of rivalry and competition! The contest is traditionally unique and always has a fantastic atmosphere which is great to be a part of.” Said former European and British Champion and Director of Surfing GB Nigel Semmens
